The government launched a joint convergence portal for various schemes run by the Food Processing and Agriculture Ministries on Wednesday. According to an official statement, the Ministries of Agriculture and Food Processing Industries have collaborated to launch a convergence portal for the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), the Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme, and the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY).
Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Food Processing Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras, and Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Choudhary attended the launch of the convergence portal.

Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Food Processing Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras, and Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Choudhary attended the launch of the convergence portal.
Anita Praveen, Secretary of Food Processing, and Agriculture Secretary Manoj Ahuja were also present.
“Union Ministers from both ministries expressed confidence that this initiative will usher in a new chapter in the lives of micro Units engaged in food processing,” according to the statement.
According to Paras, the portal will be extremely beneficial to the country’s food processing enterprises.
Tomar stated that the Prime Minister believes that all ministries / departments of the government should collaborate in order to serve the people of the country to the best of their abilities.
The Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) is being implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture as a medium- to long-term debt financing facility for the development of post-harvest management infrastructure and community farming assets.
